Children’s Ministry During COVID-19
Due to us not meeting in person at this time, many of our normal ministry opportunities have either been modified or cancelled. If you are interested in being included in our children’s online ministry please contact Shelby Nelson so that we can get your child(ren) involved.
To help our children engage in weekly Worship, they are meeting via zoom to learn about different aspects of a normal service and what they mean. This is also a time for our children to catch up and spend time together.
Our growing Children’s Ministry offers a staffed nursery for infants through children age 4, Sunday School for children ages 5-5th grade, enrichment experiences and music education. Each first Sunday, the children rejoin their families in worship to share Holy Communion as a family. In the summer, we partner with other church communities in offering a Vacation Bible School experience. In everything we do we seek to provide meaningful Christian formation experiences for our children and resources for the families to continue this vital development at home.
Through out the year we offer church field trips. In participating on these trips, churchgoers are able to connect with each other while exploring what our local communities have to offer. Past field trips have included Professor Pennypickle’s Worshop in Temecula, Willowbrook Apple Farm in Oak Glenn, and The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. During the end of summer we have a family camp where families can go spend time in the outdoors exploring and worshiping together. We are always looking for ways to enrich the lives of our families, if you feel we are missing something please contact Shelby Nelson with your ideas.
