I started working with the children and families at Redlands First in May 2018. After talking with Pastor J.T. about my passions I excitedly added youth to my portfolio in August 2018. Since then I have been serving alongside amazing volunteers to grow the next generations and prepare them to walk with Christ in todays world.
One of my greatest joys is being able to build relationships with young people and watch them grow in who they are. While they are undergoing many pressures from worldly influences, we are able to provide them a safe place where they can be themselves and build positive authentic relationships.
After graduating college in Kansas I spent three years in foster care as a social worker. While this job could be incredibly rewarding, after moving to California with my husband, I made the decision to change fields. From my experiences with children in foster care, I have seen first hand the importance of having positive relationships. It is because of this that I am deeply passionate about building meaningful supportive relationships with young people to ensure everyone has someone to turn to.
Growing up athletics were a very important part of my life. Now I coach volleyball for the YMCA and for Redlands Renegade Volleyball Club. In my free time I love to read, play video games, and walk trails with my dog Panda.
My preferred pronouns are she/her/hers.
